CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, light touch therapy that is helpful in improving many conditions, such as

  • Migraines and Headaches

  • Chronic Neck and Back Pain

  • Stress and Tension-Related Disorders

  • Motor-Coordination Impairments

  • Infant and Childhood Disorders

  • Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries

  • Chronic Fatigue

  • Fibromyalgia

  • TMJ Syndrome

  • Scoliosis

  • Central Nervous System Disorders

  • Learning Disabilities

  • ADD/ADHD

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

  • Orthopedic Problems

  • and more

The work is done fully clothed, and the therapist applies very gentle pressure, generally less than 5 grams (the weight of a nickel), holding various areas of the body.  The purpose is to release tensions and restrictions in the soft tissue surrounding the central nervous system.  This enhances the body’s natural ability to self correct, encouraging healing and promoting deep relaxation.

Since each client is unique, each CranioSacral Therapy session and its after-effects are unique.  You may experience immediate relief from discomfort; you may feel a temporary increase in discomfort; you may re-experience an old discomfort.  You may have an emotional response.  All of these responses are actually positive signs, reflecting the shifts that are taking place in your body.  Discomfort typically subsides within 24-48 hours, and the shifts and improvements may continue for some time after that.

After your session, please give yourself permission and space to fully experience these shifts.  They are your body’s way of facilitating healing.

I chose to become a CranioSacral therapist because of the profound benefits I personally experienced as a client.  This therapy was recommended to me by my doctor to assist in overcoming a variety of health challenges.  As part of a program of nutritional and lifestyle improvements, CranioSacral Therapy has allowed me to be able to say for the first time in my life, “I feel healthy.”  It is a gift beyond description.

I sincerely hope that you will choose to experience the benefits of CranioSacral Therapy for yourself, and include me as a member of your wellness team.

Thank you,
